Food Bank Wiregrass Area United Way

The Wiregrass Area United Way Food Bank is a nonprofit hunger relief organization in Dothan that solicits and collects surplus food to distribute to agencies serving the needy. Operating from a 22,000-square-foot warehouse with refrigerated storage and networked through Feeding America, the food bank serves a six-county area including Houston, Henry, Dale, Geneva, Coffee, and Barbour counties, as well as portions of northwest Florida and southwest Georgia. The organization provides food assistance at no cost to recipients through member agencies including food pantries, soup kitchens, churches, and group homes.
