Borderlands Food Bank

Borderlands Produce Rescue is a nonprofit organization that rescues fresh produce destined for landfills and redistributes it to communities across Arizona through their Produce On Wheels Without Waste (P.O.W.W.O.W.) program operating at multiple locations in the Tucson and Phoenix metropolitan areas. Founded in 1996 by Yolanda Soto, the organization diverts millions of pounds of produce annually while addressing food insecurity and reducing environmental waste through community distribution events where supporters make donations of $15 to $17 and receive up to 70 pounds of fresh produce.
