Las Milpitas Community Farm

Las Milpitas de Cottonwood is a six-acre community farm operated by the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, located at 2405 S Cottonwood Lane along the Santa Cruz River’s west bank. The farm provides free garden plots, gardening supplies, and educational workshops to local residents, with a focus on making healthy food accessible to low-income families while building community leadership and teaching sustainable desert agriculture practices. The nonprofit also partners with local schools and organizations like the International Rescue Committee to support diverse community members, including refugees, in growing food for their own tables or for sale at monthly farmers markets.
