CAPK Food Bank – Commodity

Established in 1983, the CAPK Food Bank – Commodity is a nonprofit food distribution location operated by the Community Action Partnership of Kern serving Bakersfield and throughout Kern County. The food bank operates as part of the Feeding America network and distributes food assistance through multiple access points and partner agencies, with a particular focus on serving seniors through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) for adults 60 and over, as well as providing emergency food distribution and specialized programs for families and children experiencing food insecurity.
