CRC-Food and Nutrition Center

Founded in 1979, Community Resource Center (CRC) operates the Food and Nutrition Center in Encinitas as a nonprofit organization serving North County San Diego. The center provides a client-choice food pantry offering fresh and nonperishable foods, emergency USDA commodities, and nutrition education to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. CRC distributed over 650,000 pounds of food in 2024 and partners with organizations like Feeding San Diego and the San Diego Food Bank to address hunger while supporting homelessness prevention in the community.
