Volunteer Center South Bay Harbor Long Beach

For over 60 years, the Volunteer Center South Bay-Harbor-Long Beach has been a nonprofit serving the South Bay, Harbor, and Long Beach communities by empowering the community to practice empathy and spread kindness through volunteer opportunities and community programs. The organization operates multiple volunteer-driven programs addressing food insecurity, education inequality, youth wellness, and restorative justice, including Food For Kids, which provides weekend meals to students across Title I schools in the region, and Operation Teddy Bear, an educational literacy initiative. The center facilitates volunteer placements for individuals, groups, corporations, and court-referred community members.
