Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center Auxiliary

The Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center Auxiliary, also known as CARES (Center Auxiliary for Recruitment, Education, and Service), is a California nonprofit corporation founded in 1969 that supports Los Angeles General Medical Center through financial resources and volunteer services. The organization operates a monthly mobile food pantry providing free food and supplies to low-income patients, along with numerous community programs including two childcare centers, gift shops, a thrift shop, and a pediatric reading program designed to enhance patient care and comfort.
