Open Door Skidrow Ministries

Open Door Skidrow Ministries is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2008 that serves the chronic homeless population in Downtown Los Angeles's Skidrow neighborhood through weekly sidewalk church services combined with hot meals. Founded by Evangelist Geraldine Hughes, the ministry provides worship services featuring prayer, praise, and sermons that conclude with altar calls for salvation, followed by substantial homecooked meals served to 150-225 individuals each week.
