Project Angel Food

Project Angel Food is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1989 in response to the AIDS crisis that prepares and delivers free, medically tailored meals to people across Los Angeles County who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves. The organization serves individuals of all ages facing serious and life-threatening illnesses, delivering over 10,000 meals each week while relying on a dedicated corps of volunteers alongside its staff. Recognized as a four-star rated charity with high acclaim from evaluators, Project Angel Food has expanded its mission beyond its initial focus on HIV/AIDS to serve anyone experiencing food insecurity due to critical illness.
