Meet Each Need with Dignity

MEND—Meet Each Need with Dignity—is a nonprofit organization founded in the early 1970s to serve low-income residents of the San Fernando Valley. The organization operates as a comprehensive community resource center, providing emergency food assistance along with clothing, medical and dental care, job training, education programs, and holiday support to those in need. Based in Pacoima, MEND has grown from a small volunteer-driven garage operation into the largest poverty agency in the Valley, serving thousands of clients monthly with a commitment to breaking the bonds of poverty through dignity and self-reliance.
