Richmond Emergency Food Pantry

Richmond Emergency Food Pantry (REFP) is a 100% volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1971 dedicated to serving low-income individuals and families in Richmond and West Contra Costa County. Located at 2369 Barrett Avenue in Richmond, REFP provides thousands of emergency grocery packages filled with fresh produce, proteins, and pantry staples monthly, serving more than 42,000 individuals annually during regular distribution hours on Tuesdays and Fridays. Operating entirely without paid staff, the organization relies on volunteers who contribute over 400 hours each month and partners with the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano, local businesses, churches, and community members to eliminate hunger in the region.
