Feeding San Diego
About
Established in 2007, Feeding San Diego is a nonprofit hunger-relief and food rescue organization serving San Diego County as the region's only Feeding America partner food bank. The organization connects people facing hunger with nutritious meals by rescuing surplus food from local and national donors, distributing millions of meals annually through a network of community partners and direct distribution programs. Feeding San Diego was founded by philanthropist Gwendolyn Sontheim and uses a decentralized model that enables local nonprofit partners to work directly with food donors for maximum efficiency and impact.
