Glide Memorial Food Program
About
Glide Memorial Food Program is a free, nonprofit meals service that offers three nutritious meals daily to San Francisco residents experiencing food insecurity, homelessness, and poverty. Founded in 1969 as a volunteer-run initiative, Glide has grown to become one of the largest meal providers in the city, serving over 850,000 meals annually across 364 days a year. The program operates as part of Glide Memorial Church in the Tenderloin neighborhood and partners with local organizations like the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank to provide culturally appropriate meals in an atmosphere of respect and dignity.
