The Food Pantry

The Food Pantry is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2000 that operates as one of San Francisco's largest independent food assistance programs. The organization serves over 500 families weekly by providing free, fresh groceries in a dignified environment, relying entirely on community donations and a dedicated network of volunteers of all ages. Operating out of St. Gregory of Nyssa Episcopal Church, The Food Pantry has become a cornerstone of emergency food assistance for residents south of Market Street, with no support from federal, state, or city entities.
