Hunger at Home at San Jose Flea Market

Hunger at Home is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that fights food insecurity in Silicon Valley by rescuing surplus food destined for landfills and distributing it to those in need. Founded in 2008, the organization partners with businesses, convention centers, hotels, and other major institutions to collect excess food and redirect it to hungry and homeless individuals through a network of nonprofit partners and community distribution sites. Based in San Jose, Hunger at Home operates a mobile food pantry at the San Jose Flea Market, serving hundreds of families each month while simultaneously reducing environmental waste.
