Second Harvest of Silicon Valley

Founded in 1974, Second Harvest of Silicon Valley is one of the largest food banks in the nation, headquartered in San Jose. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, Second Harvest provides healthy food to more than a quarter million people across Santa Clara and San Mateo counties each month, with more than half of those served being children and seniors. The organization distributes food through a network of over 309 nonprofit partners at 985 sites, operates one of the largest mobile pantry programs in California, and provides CalFresh outreach and nutrition assistance services throughout Silicon Valley.
