Sherwood Valley Pomo Indians — Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR)

The Sherwood Valley Band of Pomo Indians operates the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), a USDA program that provides food assistance to tribal members in Willits, California. The Sherwood Valley Rancheria of Pomo Indians is a federally recognized tribe with roots in the region dating back to its establishment under Secretarial Order in 1909, serving as a community of Pomo Indians indigenous to Sonoma and Mendocino Counties. The program is managed by the tribe to support food security and nutrition for eligible tribal members and their families.
