Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado – Alamosa

Founded in 1972 as a volunteer-led organization, Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado has grown to serve 29 counties across Southern Colorado, with the Alamosa distribution center opening in May 2023. As a nonprofit food bank, Care and Share gathers and sorts food from multiple sources to distribute to a network of partner agencies throughout the region, working to combat hunger and food insecurity while ensuring equitable access to nutritious food and education. The organization distributes millions of pounds of food annually to neighborhoods in need across Southern Colorado.
