Food Connect Colorado – Aurora

Food Connect Colorado is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit food pantry established in 2020 to reduce food waste by sharing reclaimed food with people in need in Aurora. The organization operates a free food market in partnership with Food Bank of the Rockies, allowing residents of Aurora and the Montbello area to choose their own food without income requirements. Founded by Liz Watts, who previously worked at domestic violence shelters and food pantries in the Denver metro area, Food Connect Colorado sources food from multiple partners including Volunteers of America's City Harvest, Target, King Soopers, and the Denver Rescue Mission.
