Food Connect Colorado – Aurora

Food Connect Colorado is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit mobile food pantry serving the Aurora and Montbello areas, operating as a partner agency with Food Bank of the Rockies to reduce food waste by providing reclaimed and fresh food to people in need. Founded in 2020 by Liz Watts, who identified a critical gap in food assistance resources in her home city of Aurora, the organization operates a free food market model where shoppers choose their own items with no income requirements for local residents. The organization is operated entirely by volunteers and has expanded its food sources to include partnerships with Volunteers of America's City Harvest, Target, King Soopers, and the Denver Rescue Mission.
