Food For Thought – Denver

Food For Thought Denver is a nonprofit organization founded in 2012 dedicated to eliminating weekend hunger for low-income children in the Denver area. The organization provides PowerSacks—bags containing 9-15 non-perishable food items designed to feed a family of four for two meals—to students at approximately 80 schools across the Denver Metro area, serving close to 15,000 students. Operating as a volunteer-run nonprofit with zero paid staff, Food For Thought ensures that 100% of donations go directly toward purchasing food, having distributed nearly 6 million pounds of food since its inception.
