South Central Council of Government Area Agency – Food Distribution Center

The South Central Council of Governments (SCCOG) Food Distribution Center partners with Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado to provide nutritious food to residents of Las Animas County. Since its establishment in 1975, SCCOG has served as a dedicated community partner offering vital programs including food assistance, area agency on aging services, and other human and community development services across Huerfano and Las Animas Counties. The organization distributes fresh, nutritious food at no cost to eligible families and seniors through a coordinated monthly program, with eligibility based on income or enrollment in programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, or SSI.
