Hawthorne Area Resource Center – Pantry for Seniors

The Hawthorne Area Resource Center – Pantry for Seniors is a nonprofit organization that has been serving the Hawthorne and Alachua County community since 2016. The center provides food assistance through programs including TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) and CSFP (Commodity Supplemental Food Program), while also offering community outreach, social services referrals, and financial assistance interventions. In addition to distributing hundreds of thousands of pounds of food to seniors and families in need, the center engages with the community through volunteer efforts and partnerships to address food insecurity and support vulnerable populations.
