Greene County Food Pantry

Founded in 2007, the Greene County Food Pantry is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing hunger and food insecurity in Greene County. The organization serves qualifying residents by distributing nutritious food—including fresh produce, canned goods, and staple items—to over 600 families monthly, with each family receiving approximately 40-50 pounds of food per visit. Over 60% of recipients are seniors or children, and the pantry has distributed more than 2 million pounds of food in recent years while working alongside community partners including local schools, churches, and businesses.
