St Clare Catholic Church

St. Clare Catholic Church, established in the 1830s as a log church, is a Roman Catholic parish located at 216 N. 9th Street in Altamont, Illinois, and serves over 150 families in the community. The church has a rich history marked by resilience, surviving fires in 1848 and 1873, and features a Gothic-style building dedicated in 1923.
