Hesed House is a nonprofit homeless services organization located at 659 South River Street in Aurora, Illinois. Established in 1983 by religious leaders and concerned citizens, it has evolved into the second largest homeless shelter in Illinois, serving over 1,000 individuals and families experiencing homelessness annually. Beyond emergency shelter, Hesed House operates a comprehensive resource center offering transitional and permanent supportive housing, plus job training, mental health counseling, substance abuse services, legal assistance, medical care, and veteran services, relying on more than 6,000 volunteers from 90 local churches to support its mission.
