Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry & Clothes Closet

The Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry & Clothes Closet is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by area churches in 1981, with the Clothes Closet added in the 1990s. Located at 916 First Street in Batavia, Illinois, the organization serves more than 900 families each month by providing food assistance and clothing through a client choice model that prioritizes dignity and respect. The pantry operates partnerships with local retailers and the Northern Illinois Food Bank to maximize its impact, recently relocating to its expanded permanent facility with support from a $3 million Community Project Funding Grant secured with the help of Congresswoman Lauren Underwood.
