Settler’s Pond Animal Shelter

Settler’s Pond Shelter is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue and shelter located at 1301 E Offner Road in Beecher, Illinois, housing approximately 350 exotic, domestic, and farm animals that have been rescued from abusive, neglectful, or abandoned circumstances. Founded in 1998 by Roland and Pinky Janota on their family farm, the shelter operates as a no-kill rescue that rehabilitates injured animals and facilitates adoptions and zoo placements while maintaining a strict policy of never turning away animals in need. Beyond rescue operations, Settler’s Pond serves the community through educational programs and seasonal attractions including an indoor petting zoo, pumpkin patch, corn maze, and other family-friendly activities designed to raise funds for animal care.
