Community Building Complex of Boone County

The Community Building Complex of Boone County is a historic venue located at 111 W 1st Street in downtown Belvidere, Illinois, that has been operating for approximately 35 years. The beautifully restored building hosts a variety of community events including banquets, fundraisers, concerts, plays, dances, and festivals throughout the year, serving as a gathering place for residents across Boone County and surrounding areas. Established under Illinois state law to allow citizens of Boone County to maintain and enhance the community building complex, the organization is governed by a Community Building Complex Committee and is funded in part through the county’s 1% food and beverage tax.
