Exploration Station

Exploration Station is an interactive children’s museum located at 1095 W. Perry St. in Bourbonnais, Illinois, operated by the Bourbonnais Township Park District. Opened on July 28, 1990, through the efforts of dedicated volunteers who responded to retired Bradley art teacher Marilyn O’Flaherty’s vision for a hands-on exploration and discovery museum, the facility features over 20 exhibit spaces across 10,000 square feet including interactive displays such as a grocery store, fire truck, dinosaur dig, castle, STEAM exhibit, and pet clinic designed primarily for children ages 2-8. The museum is situated within the beautiful 172-acre Perry Farm Park, which offers walking trails, playgrounds, and additional recreational opportunities for families.
