Arrowleaf Food Pantry-Cairo

Arrowleaf is a southern Illinois-based nonprofit human services organization that opened its Client Choice Food Pantry in Cairo in January 2022 to address food insecurity in the region. The pantry operates as a grocery-store-style facility where clients select their own food items from a variety of options organized by food group, emphasizing dignity and respect while providing nutritious meal options and educational resources. Arrowleaf's innovative approach has served thousands of residents across the southern seven counties of Illinois, with priority given to Alexander, Johnson, and Pulaski Counties.
