Good Samaritan Ministries

Good Samaritan Ministries is a nonprofit organization established in 1985 by the Carbondale Interfaith Council to provide comprehensive support to homeless, near-homeless, and transient individuals and families in Carbondale, Illinois. Located at 701 South Marion Street, the organization operates an emergency shelter, transitional housing program, food pantry, soup kitchen, emergency assistance program, and case management services. The tax-exempt organization serves the lower Southern Illinois region and is dedicated to helping clients achieve self-sufficiency through various social services and community support.
