Daily Bread Soup Kitchen

Daily Bread Soup Kitchen is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization located at 116 N. First Street in Champaign, IL, dedicated to serving hot meals daily to those in need. Founded in 2009 after the Catholic Worker House ended its lunch program, the organization now serves over 250 meals daily, seven days a week, providing soup, salad, entrée, dessert, and beverages to low-income families, seniors, disabled veterans, and anyone in need without regard to race, religion, or income. Operating entirely on volunteer labor with no paid staff, Daily Bread serves approximately 153,000 meals annually and operates on a monthly budget of about $13,000, funded through local donations and community support.
