U of I Urbana-Champaign Food Assistance and Well-Being Program

The Food Assistance & Well-Being Program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is an emergency relief initiative designed to support students facing food insecurity through a shopping-style pantry located in the Activities & Recreation Center at 201 E. Peabody Drive in Champaign. Operating as a satellite pantry of Wesley United Methodist Church, a registered 501(c)(3) organization, the program provides free groceries, fresh produce, dairy, proteins, and personal care items to all current Illinois students. The program has expanded its accessibility through grab-and-go refrigerated lockers at Campus Recreation Center East, allowing students to order items online for convenient pickup, while being staffed by student volunteers from Food Science and Human Nutrition who provide support in a welcoming, dignified environment.
