Breakthrough Ministries Fresh Market Food Pantry

Breakthrough Ministries Fresh Market is a client-choice food pantry operated by Breakthrough Urban Ministries that provides groceries and various supplies to families in the East Garfield Park community on Chicago's West Side. Founded over 25 years ago, Breakthrough operates its Fresh Market with a model designed to provide a dignified shopping experience similar to a neighborhood grocery store, distinguishing it from traditional pantry operations. In addition to food assistance, the organization connects residents with legal aid, food stamps, housing and employment information, financial management, GED certification, and family workshops.
