Chatham-Avalon Ministries – Food Distribution Center

Chatham-Avalon Ministries Food Distribution Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located at 8601 South State Street in Chicago serving the South Side community. The organization operates a full-service food pantry that distributes groceries and pantry items to over 200 clients weekly on Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., while also offering nutritional workshops, employment resources, and educational programming. Operating in partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Chatham-Avalon Ministries serves seven underserved zip codes on Chicago’s South Side and has been committed to significantly decreasing hunger and food insecurity for nearly two decades.
