Common Pantry

Common Pantry is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit food pantry that has been serving Chicago's North Side since 1967, making it the city's longest continually operating food pantry. The organization provides free nutritious food, produce, and groceries to individuals and families facing food insecurity, along with social services assistance and nutrition education programs. In addition to weekly emergency food distributions, Common Pantry offers monthly food deliveries to seniors and fresh produce distributions, while their Common Community program addresses root causes of food insecurity through comprehensive social service support.
