Coppin Community Center – Food Distribution Center

Coppin Community Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit social-service organization located at 5627 South Michigan Avenue in Chicago’s Washington Park neighborhood that operates as a food distribution center in partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The center distributes approximately 10,000 pounds of fresh and preserved food weekly to over 400 clients monthly, offering a client-choice pantry system that empowers residents to select items including frozen proteins, fresh produce, dairy, and other essentials. Beyond food distribution, Coppin Community Center administers youth programs, soup kitchens, and family services, operating under the vision of creating a healthy, safe, and empowered community.
