Hyde Park Kenwood Food Pantry

The Hyde Park-Kenwood Food Pantry, operated in partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, has served the Chicago community for over 40 years, providing supplemental nutrition and groceries to residents on the mid-South Side. Located at Hyde Park Union Church in Chicago’s 60637 zip code, the pantry distributes fresh produce, frozen meat and fish, dairy products, and shelf-stable foods to approximately 1,200 people monthly, with eligible residents from zip codes 60615, 60653, and 60637 able to pick up food twice monthly on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The nonprofit organization operates through the Hyde Park and Kenwood Interfaith Council and relies heavily on community volunteers who assist with food distribution, packing, and organizing, making it a vital resource for food security in the neighborhood.
