Saint Teresa of Avila Parish – Food Distribution Center

Saint Teresa of Avila Parish Food Distribution Center, located at 1950 N. Kenmore Avenue in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, serves as a welcoming source of nutritious food and community support for food-insecure residents. Operating in partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, the parish provides hot meals on Fridays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and distributes groceries and pantry items on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The food pantry, which began operations in 2002, supplements GCFD provisions with donations from parishioners and volunteers, offering clients a choice model where they select items that meet their personal needs and preferences.
