Good Samaritan Inn – Food Distribution Center

Founded in 1982, the Good Samaritan Inn is a nonprofit food distribution center and community organization in Decatur, Illinois, serving approximately 200-300 people daily through its free Noon Meal Program from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 920 North Union Street. Beyond meal services, the organization operates the Mercy Gardens Program—a 5-acre urban gardening initiative—and works to address food insecurity and create economic opportunity through nourishment, education, and community partnerships with volunteers and local organizations.
