Good Samaritan Inn

The Good Samaritan Inn is a nonprofit organization located at 920 North Union Street in Decatur, Illinois that has served the community since 1982. The organization operates a daily free noon meal program from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., serving nutritious meals 365 days a year to approximately 300 people in need, and also runs the Mercy Gardens program for urban agriculture and the Mercy Market for locally grown goods. Supported by a diverse staff, volunteers from churches and local businesses, and the Decatur faith community, the Good Samaritan Inn remains committed to ensuring no one in the community goes hungry while building partnerships to strengthen the local food system.
