Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County

The Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County is a no-kill, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) animal shelter located at 3373 N. Woodford Street in Decatur, Illinois, that has served the community since 1923. Operating primarily with volunteers, the organization rescues and rehomes sick, injured, abused, neglected, and abandoned animals while offering spay and neuter programs, including a Trap-Neuter-Return program for feral cats and discount services for qualifying low-income and senior pet owners. The shelter is dedicated to reducing pet overpopulation and promoting humane treatment of animals through education and responsible adoption practices.
