Max (now DFA)

MAX, now known as Dove Financial Assistance (DFA), is a joint effort of area religious organizations providing emergency financial assistance to residents of Macon, DeWitt, Shelby, Moultrie, and Piatt Counties. The program offers monetary support for utilities, eye prescriptions, dental care, and prescription medications, with grants up to $300 per application. Based in Decatur, Illinois, MAX merged with the DAX program and became part of Dove, Inc., continuing to serve the community through its partnership with AmerenIP’s “Warm Neighbors, Cool Friends Program” for winter utility assistance.
