Barb Food Mart

Barb Food Mart is a not-for-profit food pantry founded in 2013 to help alleviate food insecurity for children and families in DeKalb School District 428, where more than 60% of students qualify for free and reduced meals. Operating as a dignity-based food security resource with locations at Huntley Middle School, DeKalb High School, and Malta Elementary, the organization offers online ordering and limited indoor shopping for families in need. Through partnerships with community organizations, Barb Food Mart also connects families with wrap-around services to address root causes of poverty.
