City of Delavan

The City of Delavan is a municipality located in Tazewell County, Illinois, with a population of approximately 1,530 residents. Founded in 1837 by settlers from Rhode Island and named after temperance advocate Edward C. Delavan, the city serves as the local government providing services including police, public works, parks and recreation, and economic development to the community. Delavan is part of the Peoria Metropolitan Statistical Area and features a historic downtown district with buildings dating back to the 1860s.
