CEFS Effingham County Outreach

C.E.F.S. Economic Opportunity Corporation is a not-for-profit Community Action Agency serving economically and socially disadvantaged people across seven south-central Illinois counties, including Effingham, Christian, Clay, Fayette, Montgomery, Moultrie, and Shelby. The organization develops and implements diverse social service programs to help clients achieve self-sufficiency, with outreach offices located in each county served and its main administrative office in Effingham. The Effingham County Outreach office, located at 204 W Washington Avenue, operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and offers services including food pantry assistance, tax preparation through the IRS VITA program, educational scholarships, and employment support.
