Since 1993, the Elgin Wayside Center, operated by Wayside Cross Ministries, has provided a day shelter and community care center for homeless and low-income individuals and families in Elgin, Illinois. Located at 1732 Berkley Street, the nonprofit organization offers meals, clothing, showers, laundry services, counseling, case management, job skills training, and Bible study programs to hundreds of guests annually. The center bridges practical assistance with spiritual support, partnering with local churches and agencies while operating multiple transitional housing and recovery programs to help clients rebuild their lives.
