Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church

Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church is a progressive congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) located at 330 Griswold Street on Elgin’s west side, serving the community for 142 years. The church operates as a “Reconciling in Christ” congregation that affirms inclusive and welcoming values, offering both traditional and contemporary worship services alongside spiritual education programs, youth and children’s ministries, and community service initiatives. With the purpose statement “Grounded in Christ and sent to be a blessing,” Zion emphasizes spiritual growth and equipping members to serve the broader Elgin community and beyond.
