Elmhurst-Yorkfield Food Pantry (EYFP)

Elmhurst-Yorkfield Food Pantry (EYFP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1983 that provides food, compassion, and hope to residents of Elmhurst and eight surrounding communities. Located at 1083 S. York Street in Elmhurst, EYFP has grown from serving 25 families per week in a walk-in closet at Yorkfield Presbyterian Church to now serving over 700 households monthly, distributing nutritious items including meat, dairy, produce, and non-perishable goods through a client-choice model. Operating 52 weeks per year with flexible shopping hours including evening and weekend options, EYFP is a volunteer-driven organization that expanded into additional warehouse space in October 2023 and also operates a monthly mobile food pantry serving 120 families.
